On Oct. 24 at 8:56 p.m. officers from the Nogales Police Department responded to a report of a stolen vehicle from the parking lot of Fitness Express, 2051 N. Grand Ave. The owner said he parked his black Ford pick-up near the fitness center at approximately 7:30 p.m. and when he returned it was gone. A search turned up no leads. A description of the vehicle was provided to surrounding law-enforcement agencies.

On Oct. 25 at 1:52 p.m. officers went to Samurai Restaurant, 1855 N. Grand Ave., after a server at the restaurant said a cook slapped him in the face. Officers were told that the cook was upset because the server did not know where to deliver the food orders. The cook was cited for assault and disorderly conduct and released.
On Oct. 25 at 5:29 p.m. Nogales police showed up at the Wal-Mart at 100 White Park, after a cashier noticed a $20 bill did not react to a marker used to identify counterfeit bills. Two days later at the same store another $20 bill failed the marker test. The bills were taken into custody and will be sent to the U.S. Treasury Department for further examination.
On Oct. 25 at 8:13 p.m. officers were called to the 70 block of N. Terrace Ave. in reference to a stolen vehicle. The driver of the vehicle said he parked his 1998 white Chevrolet pick-up at the Factory 2U parking lot at 4 p.m. When he returned from Mexico four hours later, he said his vehicle was gone. A description of the truck was provided to area law-enforcement agencies.
On Oct. 27 at 9:15 p.m. officers were called to the Wal-Mart store where a juvenile was detained by "loss-prevention" personnel allegedly for shoplifting. The employees spotted a woman placing several items in her purse and also into her baby stroller before attempting to leave the store without paying. The juvenile admitted to not paying for the items and was taken to juvenile authorities.
