Current scores

Cross Country ... NHS at Rincon/Desert View, 4:30 p.m. Sept. 10

Swimming ... Rio Rico High lost to the Palo Verde Titans Sept. 4 - Boys 48-30 and Girls 70-2. First place finishers for Rio Rico were Alex Gerber in the 50-yard freestyle (6:03:00) and Jacob Lowe in the 100-yard freestyle (1:05:00). "The team held their own but lost only due to team size," coach Ross Staadecker said.

Volleyball ... PUHS, Sept. 4, Lady Lobos junior varsity over Tombstone. 15-25, 25-15, 16-14; and Tombstone varsity over Patagonia, 25-14, 25-20, 25-15. "Our girls showed well against this 2-A team. They have a much larger school, and a larger pool of quality players. Our JV did well, and squeaked a win in the tiebreaker. Our varsity girls had a harder time, but scored very well in my opinion. We had some good stats," Lady Lobos coach Brad Haber said. Kelsey Ronquillo led with three kills; Jolene Quiroga had two; and Iris Cooper had one. "Our passing game is improving; our service needs more work, and the rest will fall into place," Haber said.

Volleyball ... NHS at Rio Rico, 6 p.m. Sept. 10
