Alva Jameson

 

Alva Gray Jameson of South Jordan, Utah finished his valiant fight with cancer and went home to his Heavenly Father on January 11, 2009. Born July 23rd, 1942 to Edward and Martha Jameson in Portland, Oregon, he was a beloved father, husband, son and brother. He lived his life with gentle strength and quiet dignity. Preceded in death by his father, Edward, his children Nicole, Ashley, Shalise, Heather, Nathan, Jacquelyn, Joshua, Justin and Ryan. He is survived by his mother, his sister, Karen, and his brother Pep. His legacy lives on with his loving wife of 46 years, Christie, and their children Robin, Darren Gray, Josephine, Brian, Shannon, Kristin, Tearsin, Derrick, Corinne, Jason, Michael, Robert, Tiffany, Jene, Zachary, Matthew, Brittany, Shelly, Alicia, Keisha, Courtney, Shenee, Mitchell, Sean, Eli, Samuel, Brianna, and Jacob. He will be greatly missed by his 19 grandchildren and a wealth of friends and extended family.

 

Viewing will be held at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan on Thursday, Jan. 15th from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 16, 2009 at 11 am at the South Jordan River Stake Center, 1570 W. 11400 S., South Jordan. No viewing will be held prior to funeral services on Friday, per family’s request. Internment: South Jordan Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Utah Down’s Syndrome Foundation.
