I feel obligated to write a "Thank You" note to Santa Cruz Advocates for the Arts, as my husband, Joe, and I had a wonderful (make that WONDERFUL) evening Saturday night. 

The Santa Cruz Jazz Orchestra was great – especially as we could recognize some of the performers being that they were local.  Jesse McGuire was amazing. 

The Young Sounds of Arizona was an experience. Dennis Rowland – great vocals and a performer, also. 

Thank you to everyone involved – what we experienced must have taken months and months of work. 

Note to Nogales – watch for info for the Third Charles Mingus Jazz Festival in 2010 (hopefully there will be one) – it was a fun evening – hopefully next year they will have to open the "pods" in the NHS auditorium to seat all the folks watching this great and fun event.
