Senator Kyl's Letter of 041009

By PC Trombley
Published Tuesday, April 21, 2009 8:59 AM MDT

Senator Kyl and most of his  ilk seem to have problems recognizing the difference between truth and fiction.  He for sure doesn't know the difference between apples and oranges.  He alway mixes the apples and the oranges.  He complains about President Obama saying that he will reduce taxes for 95% of the citizens, and his budget amounts to $1.4 trillion over ten years.  That for sure is apples and oranges.  The President has done exactly what he said he was going to do.  He cut the taxes of 95% of the citizens, and raised the taxes on the other 5 %; the very very wealthy.  Here is a guy who is very much a part of the administration that has successfully nearly destroyed our financial system; complaining about the actions being taken by the President that we elected to take care of the problems.  Huge amounts of money have been required to keep our boat afloat.  I wish that the Senator would stop his playing political games, and go to work to help our President get the mess that he inherited cleaned up.   He was voted into office to do the work of our Government.  He should get to work, or get out.  He hasn't done one useful thing over the last 8 years, and he sure is of little value when he refuses to accept the fact that we, the citizens of America,  voted President Obama into office.  All he has done, is complaine.

" There is no purpose in answering your comments.
If you are so blind that you already are blaming President Obama for the mess the The learning disabled President and his fellow conservatives
and torturers have made of our once great Nation, there is no hope for you.
It took a lot to finally get the average American to wake up to the fact that it was a a failed administration from the "get-go" All that we got from the Bush administration, was a housing bubble which we also got from the Reagan Administration. The conservative principles have done damage to our economic system going all the way back to Nixon.
Senator kyl has the same mindset, and participated in the debacle. His credibility is gone. Like so many conservatives, it is long gone. "

" Enjoy that $13.00/week tax cut. Don't spend it all in one place Mr. Trombley. Of course when Obama and the Congress let the Bush tax cuts expire that $13.00 will disappear and then some. And, about that time, the inflation, caused by the outrageous spending by our government, will kick in, raising home mortgage interest rates to levels not seen since the Carter era. Get ready for a return to 17% interest again. Of course, the housing market will be ready to make an upturn, as existing inventory will return to normal levels. The developers will be ready to build but no one will be able to afford the house payment. We are in for a terrible ride. Thanks, President Obama. "

" All Obama and liberals know how to do is blame Bush for all the problems Obama has made worse. liberals complained that Bush spent too much but refuse to accept that Obama has tripled the spending and is now printing money. Printing money! Spending money that doesn't even exist. What has Obama done for the economy? Nothing, other than drive us into a deeper deficit and debt. Who do liberals think pays for 85% of all taxes already? Yes, the top 5% that Obama is taxing. The very wealthy people liberals hate but yet are responsible for creating jobs, investing, trade, sell. Without them, our economy cannot function. All Obama is doing is increasing our unemployment rate, increasing spending, taking our freedoms away by taxing us like we wouldn't imagine, and driving us into bankruptcy. All this is leading to inflation and subsidize which Obama has already acknowledged. "Common sense tells us when you put a big tax on something, people will produce less of it." "

" Darb - I must disagree. My brother had a severe allergic reaction to food additives (mainly salt peter) when in the Air Force that left him with inoperable aneurisms and a discharge. Because he had only been in about two weeks, the military refused responsibility for his condition and treatment. Senator McCain got my brother the medical benefits to cover his condition within weeks.

As for the Tax Issue, how do you cut taxes on 95% if 40% do not pay any taxes?

Further more, President Obama is going to allow the Bush Tax Cuts to expire, including those that benefited the lower and middle classes such as the doubling of the child tax deduction and the elimination of the marriage penalty ( you know where the standard deduction for two single people was several hunderd dollars more than for a married couple). That will be a tax hike on EVERYONE. Not to mention the Carbon Tax he has proposed which is estimated to hike gase prices by 6 to 10 percent, electric rates by 20 to 40%, and you can guess the trickle down effect of that on us poor smucks. "
