Hacienda Corona concerts resume Aug. 8 By JB MillerFans of swing and bluegrass should head for Nogales this week. On Aug. 8 at 7 p.m. Tucson’s premier Titan Valley Warheads will jam out at the historic Hacienda Corona at 348 S. River Road. Tickets are $15 at the gate and you are invited to bring a chair and a picnic dinner to enjoy. The concert starts at 7 p.m. Featured will be Gary Kuitert on mandolin, Don Johnson on fiddle, Ed Davenport on bass, and Earl Edmondson on guitar. Music aficionados should note that on Aug. 22 “The All Bill Band” will visit Hacienda Corona, putting out foot-stomping music with the likes of Bill Ronstadt, Bill Martin, and Mindy Ronstadt. Concert organizers Phil and Wendy Stover said that an additional show is planned in September or October and will be announced when the event is finalized. Hacienda Corona is offering a Concert Weekend Special. Book a room for two nights and get free admission to the concert and 25 percent off the regular room rate.
