Nogales Bashing

By I like living in Nogales

Hey folks--Nogales is a very nice place to live. I enjoy purchasing my goods and services in Nogales. I (somehow magically it would seem) manage to get good service and/or information from the clerks or waitstaff etc that I deal with.

Home Depot according to the atricle "Want to Shop Locally in Nogales--Good Luck" was out of a swamp cooler part. Gosh--it is almost August 1st--end of swamp cooler season--only one month to go--yea--maybe that's the reason that they have let their swamp cooler part inventory minimize. The author of this article is bashing all of Nogales. Did she call and request that they special order the part for her???

I was in Home Depot last Sunday. I was greeted at the door by a man named Tom. He personally escourted me to the propper department, helped me find the right "stuff" and then walked me to the do-it-yourself check out. (Just in case you are wondering--no I am not 18 to 22 and was not wearing tight fitting jeans and/or a low cut shirt.)

Yea--I have gone shopping at Home Depot and could not find the item that I was looking for. I then went to Wal Mart and bought it there.

I get good service at Wal Mart, also. The produce guys will even check the back to locate some weird veggie that I want to purchase.

Re the bad wait staff--ok--have you ever called the owners and or managers? How will they know to "fix the problem" without being made aware of the problem? And--yea--if it happens again--take your dollars to some other location. There are many many restaurants in Nogales with great service. We enjoy the service at Bella Mia. Mr. C's--Jose and Lamberto almost strain themselves being nice to us. They now remember our quirky likes and cater to us. Sweet.

Perhaps we should remember that clerks and waitstaff are people too--not your personal slaves. I have seen them treated that way, with much embarassment on my part. Sigh.

Again, I enjoy living in Nogales!
