After crash driver vanishes By JB MillerThe driver of a pick-up truck that crashed along State Route 83 was nowhere to be found the night of Oct. 30. Officer Cherie Klavitter, spokesperson for the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS), said that at 10:47 p.m. officers investigated a one-vehicle collision at milepost 18. “The vehicle involved was a white pick-up truck that left the roadway for unknown reasons,” Klavitter said two days after the accident. Official word Lt. Steve Harrison said that DPS contacted the registered owner who told officers that he last saw his pick-up at 4 p.m. and was not aware it was missing.
