Frank Holler of Nogales, Ariz,. was born Dec. 4, 1916, and died on Dec. 11, 2009, in Tucson, Ariz. Frank was one of six brothers and two sisters born to Edward E. Holler and Mercedes Velasco Holler. The family grew up in Holler’s Canyon, at the far west end of International Street.

Holler served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Aleutian Islands and Germany. He was wounded in Germany.

He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Edward, Charles, Robert, Alfred, and infant Albert Holler; first wife Eva Partida Holler; nephews Charlie, Louie and Mark Holler, niece Elvia Holler Gamberos, cousins and  brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

He is survived by his wife Gloria; children, Eric (Anastasia), Victor and Rudy Holler, Marlene Holler Williams (David); grandchildren, Mia and Taylor Williams and Devin and Alan Holler; stepchildren, Melissa (Brian) Peterson and Joe Pozen; sisters Estella Holler, Clara Holler Gutierrez; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
