The winners of the GFWC Nogales Woman’s Club annual Holiday Raffle are Leo Spillane; first place, $500; Sun Fed Produce, second place, $75; and Teri Charest, third place, $50. Winning tickets were drawn at the club’s December meeting and winners have received their checks.

The Holiday Raffle is held each year to raise money for college scholarships and the Reading is Fundamental Program. The Nogales Woman’s Club sponsors two students at the University of Arizona with $1,000 per semester for up to four years. Michelle Rene Paz, a graduate of Nogales High School, is a junior at the U of A; and Danya Balderrama, a graduate of Rio Rico High School, is a freshman at the U of A.

In addition to these scholarships, the club supports and organizes the RIF program to provide books to students in local elementary schools.
