As a Grand Finale to the day, writer Richard Shelton, author of the much-loved classic “Going Back to Bisbee,” will read from his work at 3 p.m. in the Library. Shelton has taught writing at the University of Arizona and has further enhanced his reputation as a teacher and promoter of writing in prisons.
Round-Up 2010 will feature several new attractions. For the first time, the event is an “invitational” and will showcase nine writers who have not been part of the event previously. Seven of the writers who have participated in the past have published new books since last year’s event. There will be plenty of new books. Altogether, 24 authors accepted the invitation from the selection committee and will be on hand to converse with visitors.
