Deborah Copenhaven Fellows, artist and sculptor, will speak to the Patagonia Woman’s Club on Thursday, Feb. 4, at 2 p.m. in Cady Hall on Duquesne Avenue next to the Patagonia Library. Refreshments will be served at 1:45 p.m. The program is free and the public is invited.

Fellows won several competitions to create veteran memorials including the Montana State Vietnam Memorial and the Washington State Korean War Memorial. Since moving to Sonoita with her husband, Fred Fellows, she has focused more on the horse and the West. Her sculpture of a cowboy on his horse greets visitors to the fairgrounds in Sonoita. She is the designer of the silhouetted scenes that welcome visitors to Sonoita, Elgin and Patagonia.

In 2008, Deborah was elected to a lifetime membership in the National Sculpture Society, and in 2009 she was inducted into the Cowgirl Hall of Fame.
