The Santa Cruz County Health Services Department confirmed 213 new cases of COVID-19 during the two-week period leading up to Thursday, an average of more than 15 per day.

That’s up from the approximately 10 cases confirmed per day in August and September.

In addition, the county had confirmed four news deaths and 11 hospitalizations for COVID-19 during the 14 days leading up to Thursday.

The latest numbers brought the county’s pandemic totals to 9,183 cases, 192 deaths and 621 hospitalizations.
