The United Methodist Church has joined a global grassroots campaign with the United Nations Foundation, NBA Cares, and Sports Illustrated to support Nothing But Nets, a project to save lives by preventing malaria.

Every 30 seconds, a child dies in Africa because of malaria. It can be prevented through the use of insecticide-treated bed nets. A $10 donation goes toward the purchase, distribution, and education about their proper use.

The Patagonia Community United Methodist Church, with community involvement, selected the Nothing But Nets campaign as a missions project. Donation jars will be distributed to many businesses and organizations in Patagonia and Sonoita during the months of September and October.

Checks may be written to the Patagonia Community United Methodist Church with the notation "Nothing But Nets" and may be dropped off at the church office at 387 McKeown Ave., or mailed to P.O. Box 315 Patagonia AZ, as well as participating businesses. Please call (520) 394 2274 for more information.

Malaria kills. Send a net. Save a life. You can do something about it!
