WASHINGTON - Operation Fast and Furious was the fourth "gun-walking" investigation run by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in the Phoenix area, according to a congressional report released Jan. 31.

The report, titled "Fatally Flawed: Five Years of Gunwalking in Arizona," said the four operations began in 2006 and let roughly 2,800 firearms walk into the hands of drug cartels and other criminals.
