The Rio Rico Hawks had little trouble getting past the Empire Ravens in their first girls basketball game of the season on Monday, winning 64-14 at RRHS.

Debanny Cota scored nine points in the first quarter as the Hawks jumped out to a 16-6 lead. She poured in eight more in the second quarter, when teammate Natalia Gonzalez also got the hot hand and scored eight points of her own.
